What is all this fuss about?

The internet is a great tool for connecting people, doing research, buying and selling items as well as learning. However, it has a darker side, the internet is also used for hosting and sharing pornographic material. • In cartoon porn, 'taboo' topics such as incest and beastiality are very often explored. In fact it would probably be hard to find a picture that does not feature taboo topics in some way.
• Cartoon porn is, in my oppinion a form of child porn, as the characters in it are usually underaged, for example there is porn on alice from alice in wonderland.
• Cartoon porn is extremly easy to access and requires NO proof of age to look at 

Why I am worried

This is extremly worrying to me for several reasons including

• The influence it may have on children and their values and beliefs. Lets face it, children are easily influenced and when they go on the internet and see their idol bart simpson fornicating with other family members and even significant roll models such as his teacher it is going to leave an impression on that child.
• Aside from this issue, it could be a very traumatic experiance for the child, as all the childs ideas and thoughts about their idol gets flushed down the toilet by these grose and often obscene pictures.
• Another issue that arrises from this is that the child does not even have to be looking up the material to accidently stumble it. As web pages often dont have failsafes to keep children out, there is nothing stopping a child from acidently clicking on the wrong link and ending up in one of these sites.
• On top of all this, lets face it, whether it be a cartoon or an actual person. It is still child porn. 

How you can protect your child from these types of Websites

protect your child from these types of sites and other dangers that are found on the internet, ideally you should supervise them while they are accessing the computer. Although this is without a doubt the best way to protect your children from these dangers, often you can not be at the computer all the time. This is why i suggest you install some kind of cyber nanny on your computer or some other program that monitors the internet and blocks out obscene material.
